Head-start Aviation Systems has been actively engaged in the Historic Aircraft Field for the last 7 years. We are currently supervising different leading projects and operations on the European theater, some of them right from their acquisition.  

  • 1942 Spitfire MK1 complete restoration. More than 15,000 man-hours have been devoted to this true restoration, as opposed to rebuild. We are looking at a completion late 2006.
  • 1943 DC-3 Operation and Maintenance under FAA Part 125. This aircraft, since under the supervision of Head-start Aviation Systems has had most principal components inspected. A comprehensive Maintenance Inspection Program was developed and approved by the authority.
  • 1943 Harvard IIB Maintenance under CAA  Permit to Fly
  • 1937 Boeing PT-13B Stearman Operation and Maintenance under FAA Part 91
