Bermuda & Cayman CAMO OTAR 39 requirement

Bermuda & Cayman Islands CAMO requirement

In accordance with the transition plan of the Overseas Territories Aviation Requirements (OTARs) Part 39 (Continued Airworthiness Requirements) all aircraft on the Cayman Islands registry must be subject to a CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation) who will ensure that all continuing airworthiness requirements are met.

OTAR Part 39 requirements come into effect on 1 January 2011 for non-commercial aircraft, commercial aircraft being already implemented.

Bermuda, with their registry being VP-B & VP-Q will follow the same procedure.

The transition and implementation deadline of the remaining OTAR compliant countries, amongst them Anguilla, Gibraltar and the British Virgin Islands, will be determined individually in due time.
